It's disheartening, if only because none of us know how long it will take before the next update comes, and the things I've been waiting to be addressed may continue to be left unaddressed when that time comes. I'm also disappointed that there's only a single new BIONICLE element ( 19087), and it's an aesthetic decorative piece rather than a useful functional piece (such as 24189/ 24190, 47306, and especially the ever-so-useful 47326). All new pipes, strings, and tubes introduced in this update (such as 2112) are missing their flexibility function, significantly hindering their versatility. As far as I can tell, no bugs from 4.3.10 have been fixed (such as 20446 having no connection point). I feel like this update lacks the "spit and polish" of the updates that we used to get in the past. On one hand, I'm positively ecstatic that we've finally got a new LDD update! Thank you so much for continuing to support this software! ![]() Putting 24151 (Mighty Micros hull) on top of 24326 (Mighty Micros chassis) still won't let you put a plate in-between the gap in the front and back. Part 23448 (cockpit canopy) can't be attached for either 60177 Airshow Jet or 76076 Captain America Jet Pursuit because the bar is too wide. ![]() Just to mention a few parts: 11477, 15068, 11476, 99780, 99781, 11090.Įxcited to get new parts, but as someone who prefers to build as much as possible in regular mode it's really frustrating "losing" pieces in that mode.Īlso frustrating is seeing new parts that don't work, or old parts that haven't been fixed. Yeah, I've noticed a whole bunch of parts that were previously available in the normal mode now only being accessible in Extended, which is extremely annoying. Like for example, the round 1x1 Stud with Hole in it was previously available in white, dark red and i think yellow. Now it is only available in white (of course you can recolor it the way you like in Extended Mode, but still it´s weird) Ability to color all bricks any possible color.Ī very handy tool that allows the user to bring their LEGO imagination to reality and share with their friends and family.Something else regarding the newest LDD Update:Is it just me or did they remove some of the colors for certain Parts in the regular Mode?.Built-in screenshot functionality, so the user can share their creations with those who do not have the software.Save your creations and share them with the world using LXF files.Create LEGO models using any combination of bricks imaginable. It's officially licensed by LEGO and has almost every commonly accessible brick Features: This version is available on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Mac OS X 10.1 or higher. Lego Digital Designer's last stable release was version 4.3.11 released on January 9, 2018, but is no longer being supported with new updates. The software is available in both English and German and is licensed as Freeware. Lego Digital Designer was also used as one of the modeling tools to storyboard and model for The LEGO Movie. ![]() LXF files, a proprietary format by the LEGO company, or screenshotted and shared in that method. The main reasons for this were overwhelming complexity to meet demands and inability to keep up with quality standards for all customers. In addition, users could submit their designs to The Lego Company itself and receive a box with all the pieces necessary to complete the model, and the instructions needed to build it. LEGO announced in November of 2011 that this delivery service would be discontinued on January 16, 2012. A key advantage of this is the scope of projects is not limited by the number of particular bricks on hand. Developed and officially released by the LEGO group in 2004, Lego digital designer is a software tool that allows the user to model and prototype a LEGO creation by placing bricks on a canvas and creating their own designs.
